Draft video feedback

Tuesday 19th february

Today i completed my first draft of my music video, i also gathered feedback from my peers. I have been informed of some changes that ned to be made to my video which i shall do so over the next few weeks.

Monday 11th February

Over the weekend I have watched several tutorials of how to use certain tools within premiere, I now feel as though I have a better idea of how to do some basic editing of my footage. I now feel more confident and have began the editing of my video again today, I have corrected some of the mistakes that appeared in the first 30 seconds of my video and have also added a further 20 seconds to my video.

Thursday 7th February

I have now completed the first 30 seconds of my music video; however I am not very happy with it so far. I am not used to premiere and I am really struggling to be able to edit my video. Therefore I have decided to watch some tutorials to enable me to understand how to use the programme better, this will help me to improve my skills and hopefully allow me to edit my video with more ease.

Tuesday 22nd January

I have now filmed all of my footage; I returned to my choice of location over the weekend and filmed all the rest of my abstract narrative. Today I uploaded all of the footage onto the computer and placed it in a file with all the other footage from the green screen. Now that all the footage is in the same place I can place import it into premiere and will be able to begin the editing process of my video.

Thursday 10th January

Today I did some test filming of my abstract narrative that features in my video; this is of course the cards that have the lyrics written on the back. I decided it was best to test the way I would film these cards, this is because I didn’t want to shoot all of the video and realise that it hadn’t been filmed right. I filmed the first 4 cards in different places within my given location which is the woods in Ruislip. I then took this footage to Mr Fisher who gave me some advice on how to film the rest although what I had done already had been pretty much right. I now need to shoot the remainder of my cards so that I can begin the editing process.

Tuesday 11th December

Today I filmed my other two actors, one who was just singing and the other was signing and playing the guitar. I decided to throw in a tambourine as this not only fit with the genre but also featured in the music video itself. Overall I think the filming of my music video went very well, this is because one of my actors is a drama student and is therefore comfortable in situations such as this where they have to appear on camera. Also my other actor is in a band and has played in front of big a crowd before which has made him more comfortable with this.
